Inside, we follow the trails to where ants are traveling and gathering, the kitchen first since that’s usually where they’re headed, along with the other living areas where you’re seeing them. Treating along the trails and entry points indoors handles the ants already in the house.
Outside is where the problem gets solved, because that’s where ants come from: a granular treatment around the yard’s perimeter, a spray along the foundation, and the cracks and gaps where they slip inside. The inside work clears today’s ants; the perimeter and entry-point work stops the next wave.

Treatments are applied with care and according to the product label directions. The usual guidance is to keep children and pets off treated surfaces until they’re dry, and there are a few simple things you can do before and after a visit to make it easier:
